The parking lot on the corner of S. Wilmington and E. Jones street was the meeting place for the event. As we arrived cops were already present. They didn't seem to realize what was about to go down so they left after a few minutes of sitting around. At around 1:00pm there were well over 100 skaters. One of the reasons for the skate day was the raise money for the American Cancer Society. Everyone was more than willing to throw in any extra money they had and $120 was raised. Thank you all who donated. Cancer has had a big impact on my life and has probably affected someone you know. Every little bit helps. |
